I would first like to thank you for your courage, commitment, and taking the initial step toward becoming a better you! I am passionate about promoting positive change in the lives of those who may be experiencing difficulties such as depression, stress/anxiety, relationship challenges, self-esteem/image issues or just feel “stuck” and are ready to experience a more fulfilled life.
Meet Lakeisha:
I am a Woman of God, Wife, Daughter, Sister, and friend. Having a sound support system has helped me become my optimal self. While I believe God has graced me with several gifts to be used to help others, those “gifts” didn’t come easy. I believe I had to do my “own work”. My own work meant not being afraid to ask for and seek out help when needed, overcoming my own struggles with fear and self-confidence while willing to be vulnerable and share things that were holding me back from being my best, most authentic self. My goal is to now help you to think of and create the life you were meant to live, your best life. I understand starting something new is hard and sometimes even a little scary but you are worth it!
How I Practice:
My approach to therapy is to practice from a person-centered perspective, meaning I collaborate with you in a non-judgmental way, respecting that you are the expert on your life. Together, we will work towards increasing/improving coping skills, setting goals, and accomplishing them in a way that best meets your needs.
How I may help you:
I would like to partner with you by providing a safe environment for YOU to overcome your past struggles and present barriers. I will walk alongside you on your journey to finding a more fulfilling, peaceful and joyful life as well as healthy relationships. My goal is to possibly help you to create the life you were meant to live.
